Giles-Soscol Vineyard

Rosé of Pinot Noir

A small vineyard, located just outside of the Carneros AVA in the Napa valley, Giles-Soscol is an excellent source for the early picked Pinot Noir.

Providing ample acid and a low, concentrated yield, the grapes brings freshness and beauty to the Shadowbox Rosé of Pinot Noir.

This is a great place to add a tagline.

Orchard

Vineyard

Chardonnay

Just over 5 acres, this vineyard is in the Oak Knoll District which is in the more northern part of the town of Napa, It was planted in 1977 to a blend of Dijon and Wente Clones.

Despite the age of the vines, we are still able to harvest nearly 3 tons per acre of beautiful, developed grapes. Further, the advanced root system brings enhanced minerality and even a touch of salinity (possibly from being so deep and close to the water table).

Anne Katherina

Vineyard

Pinot Noir

Donum Estate’s President Anne Moller-Racke lives in Carneros, and in the back of her home is the Anne Katherina vineyard. The seven acres of Pinot Noir are divided into the Swan clone and three Dijon clones. The Dijon 115 contributes perfume and power; the Swan fills the wine's middle and adds body and textural layers, and the Dijon 667 and 777 lend structure.

Lawler Vineyard

Pinot Noir

The Lawler estate vineyard is located on a gently rolling hill rising up from the San Pablo Bay in the Carneros region. Its fruits lend flavors of raspberry, cherry, and a wisp of forest floor and mushroom. One also finds depth and structure, with some black pepper on the finish.

Mountain Terraces Vineayrd

Syrah

Located at 2,100 feet on the western slopes of the Mayacamus Mountain range, this vineyard exudes what the Moon Mountain AVA in Sonoma County does best.

Being above the fog line keeps the climate cool, but also allows for ample sun to ripen the grapes.  These factors give the Syrah incredible acid, balanced with dark and red fruits.

Truchard Vineyard

Syrah

The vines at the generally cooler climate Truchard Vineyards in Carneros grow on rolling hills, steep ravines, and numerous valleys, which allows distinctive temperature and soil variations.  Situated on the foothills of what becomes the Mayacamas mountain range, this location provides the estate added warmth and drainage that keep excess moisture away from the roots.  The property captures the afternoon sun, producing optimum ripening for Syrah.

Annapurna

Vineyard

Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot

Harvested almost entirely by Steve Reynolds, who made the 2013 and 2014 Shadowbox Cabernet Sauvignon, this marvelous vineyard is in the heart of the Stags Leap region on the Yountville crossroad. Known for its luscious, dark fruit and silky tannins.

Grigsby Vineyard

Cabernet Sauvignon

The Grigsby Vineyard, near the corner of the Silverado Trail and Yountville Crossroad, features well-drained uvial, sedimentary and volcanic soils. The vineyard is poised between the warmer up-valley climate and the cooling maritime influence of the San Francisco Bay to the south, so temperatures during the long growing season are warm enough to produce perfectly ripe and flavorful fruit, and cool enough to ensure finesse and balance.
